Coleman is from Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She scored every A grade in her A-level exams. Discussing her role on Emmerdale Coleman stated that she regrets not having a conventional university experience. While at school Coleman was part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Apart from being awarded a prize for acting, the production it performed attracted a lot of attention. Coleman got the part as Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman received two nominations in 2007. Coleman received two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009 she won nominations in two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman received a TV Choice Award for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's partner following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her because of her ability to work together with Smith and also because she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the film industry since 1987. She has however had a greater presence on television than in films. Eva has appeared in a number of television parts, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children' and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. The latter brought her two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to showcase her creativity by performing music. Eva is, along with acting, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
